Nectar ignites our desire and grows our capacity to live in liberated ways.
Nectar’s work is rooted in the deep belief that we belong to each other. We deserve to live is a world where everyone has safety, belonging, justice, and love.
Nectar works to move us towards that world by teaching workshops, delivering keynotes, writing articles, and creating community resources.
Nectar was born during a political moment and a political movement. Nectar was born in the middle of an ongoing, devastating pandemic that has put a spotlight on both the underlying systemic oppression of our current world and the liberatory possibilities of a new one. Nectar was born both before and after a rise in anti-Asian violence, showing us the pain of Asian erasure, the insidiousness of systemic racism, as well as the liberatory possibilities of deep solidarity. Nectar was born into a climate crisis, witnessing decades of greed and human destruction of our relationship to our home, and witnessing the power of indigenous wisdom, leadership, and self-determination.
Nectar provides political education that builds our intellectual capacity through knowledge and discernment. Nectar facilitates healing justice that builds our emotional capacity for community care and love. Nectar believes that by pouring into our minds, bodies, and souls, we will be able to pour into ourselves, each other, and our mama earth in order to create more safety, belonging, justice, and love.
Nectar works to:
Build knowledge through social justice education
Develop discernment through critical application
Foster love through healing
Activate imagination through storytelling
Nectar brings more liberation into our lives now as we make our way to a more liberatory future
“Sole is a compassionate and well informed social justice educator who facilitates an intentional and brave space for learning and unlearning. Through her classes, I have developed an understanding of the systems of injustice that have affected my ancestors and continue to affect all of us on the planet.”
